We are seeking a skilled Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to join our team at Pediatrix Medical Group. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of newborns and their families.
Responsibilities- Conduct newborn hearing screens in a hospital setting, providing accurate and timely results.
- Communicate effectively with parents and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.
- Enter patient data and validate hearing screen results, maintaining accurate records.
- Assist with confirming or rescheduling outpatient appointments, as needed.
- Help maintain equipment and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance.
- Participate in training new staff members to ensure continuity of care.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience working with infants and in a hospital setting preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer proficiency and ability to perform accurate data entry.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently, as well as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work weekends and national holidays.
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds frequently, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
