Job Description

**BAE Systems USA is seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to support the development of the next generation Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) system, known as the Sentinel ICBM Program.**

The Sentinel Program is a complex and ambitious project that aims to replace the entire ICBM weapon system deployed across tens of thousands of square miles in five states. This is a long-term project with the weapon system anticipated to deploy over a nine-year period and remain operational until at least 2075.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Support the Sentinel Program's Command & Launch (C&L) Division in acquiring the weapon system command & control capabilities for the next generation ICBM.
  • Review and analyze the Sentinel ICBM prime contractor's designs, documentation, architectures, and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) products related to Sentinel command & control subsystems.
  • Interact with Air Force stakeholders in managing the integration of government-furnished equipment and property into the Sentinel weapon system design.
  • Provide expertise on weapon system and systems integration lab architectures; concepts of operation; modeling, simulation and analysis (MS&A); and plans for addressing command & control integration options.

**Requirements:**

  • BS or MS in any Engineering discipline, Computer Science, Software, Physics, or Mathematics.
  • Minimum of 3 years (2 years with MS degree) of directly related experience in systems integration and analysis of military hardware and software systems/processes.
  • Active Secret security clearance (desired) or higher, and be able to obtain a Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable timeframe.
  • Understanding of Digital Engineering or Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) is desirable.
  • DoD acquisitions program experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency using office software such as Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is highly desirable.
