Mutual Housing Management seeks a skilled Assistant Property Manager to join our team. As a key member, you will contribute to providing exceptional property management services to our residents. Your primary focus will be on overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with established standards, fair housing laws, and regulatory requirements.
Main Responsibilities
- Financial:
- Assist in preparing monthly accounting reports and reviewing operating statements for site profitability.
- Monitor bad debt write-offs and enforce collection procedures.
- Collect all rents and other receivables due to the property in accordance with Mutual Housing Management Policy.
- Physical:
- Coordinate daily maintenance activities, ensuring proper response to requests and maintaining community appearance.
- Conduct regular interior and exterior physical inspections and coordinate preventative maintenance schedules.
- Administrative:
- Maintain organized systems for accurate record keeping, including resident files, marketing information, maintenance records, purchasing, inspections, general correspondence, and budget logs.
- Process required forms and submit timely reports.
- Marketing:
- Assist in preparing and submitting accurate Weekly Rental Report information.
- Adhere to resident selection criteria in accordance with federal and state regulations and company policies and procedures.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of applicable local and federal housing laws, including Fair Housing and Landlord Tenant laws.
- Experience managing affordable housing developments, preferably HUD, Low Income Tax Credits, Rural Housing, and Tax-Exempt Bond properties.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to relate well to diverse backgrounds, and comprehend/communicate in English both orally and in writing.

- Competitive hourly wage: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour.
