Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Advanced Care Specialist to join our team at Westchester Medical Center. As a member of our multidisciplinary care team, you will provide comprehensive primary care to pediatric patients undergoing bone marrow transplantation and oncology treatment.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position that requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for providing direct patient care, including health education, preventive medicine, and diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Additionally, you may supervise and instruct nursing and other healthcare professionals in your area of expertise.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must possess a valid license and current registration as a Registered Professional Nurse, as well as certification as a Nurse Practitioner with prescription writing privileges in the area of practice. A minimum of two years of experience in pediatric or adult blood and marrow transplantation, oncology, critical care, or emergency medicine is preferred. National certification as a Nurse Practitioner in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology (APHON) is also required.

Compensation and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is $115,000 - $140,000 per year, depending on experience.
