Detention Officer

Job Summary

As a Detention Aide with Government Jobs, you will play a vital role in maintaining the security and order of our detention facility. Under general supervision, you will perform a variety of entry-level support activities, including sanitation, cleaning, and utility duties. You will also be responsible for operating basic computer terminals and monitoring closed-circuit television cameras, telephones, alarm systems, and intercom panels. Your duties will involve controlling access to and within the facility, as well as coordinating and documenting all movement within the facility on an assigned shift. This is a part-time position that requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently. Key Responsibilities

Perform sanitation, cleaning, and utility duties as assigned
Operate basic computer terminals and monitor security systems

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
Ability to pass a background check and maintain confidentiality
