Certified Aircraft Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a Certified Aircraft Maintenance Technician to become a vital part of our Maintenance team. The technicians will engage positively with customers, representing Grant in the communities we serve across Alaska.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identifying maintenance tasks that require RII inspections; documenting the need for RII on work records and ensuring notification to an RII Inspector.
  • Reporting any malfunctioning or defective shop equipment to the Plane Captain.
  • Maintaining a sufficient supply of general hand tools to effectively perform duties in compliance with 14 CFR 43.13 appendix D.
  • Authorizing aircraft for return to service following scheduled or unscheduled maintenance after receiving approval from MXC.
  • Conducting all aviation maintenance in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations, adhering to industry best practices, and prioritizing flight safety.
  • Participating in company training and understanding relevant maintenance-related Federal Aviation Regulations, Airworthiness Directives, and Company Policies.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (mandatory).
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a SIDA badge.
  • FAA Mechanic Certificate with A&P authorizations.
  • Experience in maintenance and electrical troubleshooting on aircraft models such as C207, GA8, C208B, PA31, and BE200.
  • Familiarity with Garmin avionics installation, inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of Grant GOM, OpSpecs, GMM, and AAIP.
  • HAZMAT recognition.

Benefits:

  • PTO accrual begins after 60 days of employment at a rate of 80 hours per year, increasing over time.
  • Reduced Rate Non-Rev travel on Grant after 60 days of employment for employees and their immediate family members.
  • Consideration for preferred scheduling: options include 2 weeks on/2 weeks off, 5 days x 8 hours, or 4 days x 10 hours, with shifts available in day, evening, or night.
Compensation:
  • Hourly wage ranging from $35 to $50, depending on experience.
