As a Medical Imaging Specialist at Decypher, you will play a vital role in supporting our mission. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Receiving patients and providing appropriate care, which may involve scheduling, patient reception, uploading and/or burning CD's for patients, and accomplishing procedural instructions.
  • Daily cleaning and warm-ups of all mammography units, as well as daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual quality control inspections on all mammography units and radiologist reading stations film processors.
  • Performing screening and diagnostic mammograms, including spot compressions and magnification views when necessary. Correctly positioning the patient and making adjustments as needed for the required examination.
  • Setting up and maintaining a sterile field and assisting radiologists in ultrasound and special procedures.

We are seeking highly skilled Medical Imaging Specialists to support JBSA - Lackland in San Antonio, TX. If you have the following qualifications, we encourage you to apply:

  • Degree/Education: Minimum of an Associates of Applied Science degree in Radiological Technology or completed at least twenty-four (24) months of an American Medical Association (AMA) accredited Radiological Technology course. Training program should be accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiological Education (JCERT)
  • Certifications: ARRT Certification. Completion of Certified Operator Training on specific Prodigy/Lunar (GE)Bone Densitometer equipment within 30 days of hire.
  • License: Possess and maintain an active current, valid, and unrestricted license from a US jurisdiction before practicing independently within the defined scope of practice for their specialty.
  • Experience: 2 years of mammography experience within the last three years
  • CPR Certification: Possess and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (as accepted by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC))
  • US Citizen
  • NACI background check

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000-$85,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
