About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at Ardent Health. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our hospital facilities, patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patrol and Surveillance: Conduct regular security patrols inside and outside of the hospital, maintaining vigilance to ensure the safety and security of hospital facilities, patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Customer Service: Project a positive, professional demeanor while providing protection and assistance for the hospital customers and personnel.
  • Incident Response: Conduct on-scene investigations of incident and accident reports, including interviewing of employees and witnesses.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Properly utilize and maintain all hospital vehicles and equipment in a safe and efficient manner according to prescribed safety standards.
  • Communication: Provide good customer service by utilizing good communication skills and technical knowledge to ensure Ardent Health and departmental objectives are maintained.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Two (2) to three (3) years' experience in Law Enforcement, institutional security program, or honorable military service.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Must obtain security officer license with the Texas Board of Private Investigators and Private Security Agencies within 90 days. Must be able to qualify to carry firearms. Possess a current Texas Driver's License. Possess current Auto Liability Insurance in accordance with Texas Law.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Some college education. Bilingual.
