We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sheet Metal Superintendent to join our team at Atlantic Constructors, Inc. This is a key leadership role that requires a strong background in construction management, with a focus on sheet metal operations.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and manage field crews, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Coordinate with other departments, including engineering, estimating, and project management, to ensure that all aspects of the project are properly planned and executed.
- Develop and implement effective construction schedules, resource allocation plans, and quality control procedures.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and provide guidance to field staff.
- Collaborate with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met and that the project is delivered to their satisfaction.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of project progress, including time sheets, material usage, and labor costs.
- Develop and implement safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- 7+ years of experience in commercial construction, with a focus on sheet metal operations.
- Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems installation and maintenance.
- Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to supervise large crews.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in a heavy mechanical construction environment.
- Prior military experience.
- HS diploma or GED equivalent.
The work environment and physical demands required for this role would be representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, and may include:
- Working in varying temperatures, both inside and outside, including inclement weather, heat, humidity, cold, and dampness.
- Working in areas with exposure to moderate/high noise levels.
- Being exposed to fumes or airborne particles, including dust.
- Working in confined spaces or from high heights.
This role routinely uses construction equipment, such as heavy machinery, hand and power tools. While performing the duties of the job, the employee may work aloft, climb, bend, pull, reach overhead, stand/walk for long periods of time, and lift up to 50 lbs.
TravelThis role may require travel to various job sites and locations.
