Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement facility maintenance plans, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and building codes.
  • Analyze project costs and prepare budgets, optimizing resource allocation and improving operational efficiencies.
  • Oversee the implementation of facility systems and quality controls, ensuring seamless operations and minimizing downtime.
  • Evaluate and improve operational systems and facility infrastructure, identifying areas for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Develop and implement processing plans, optimizing resource allocation and streamlining maintenance activities.
  • Plan and coordinate infrastructure and equipment maintenance schedules, ensuring timely completion and minimal disruption to operations.
  • Coordinate and escort contractors performing maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with security protocols and regulations.
  • Perform daily, biweekly, monthly, and periodic maintenance, including light duty repairs and maintenance.
  • Respond promptly to deficiencies and address emergency situations, ensuring the safety and well-being of staff and occupants.
  • Prepare reports and compliance documentation, ensuring accurate and timely submission.
  • Share management and oversight duties with the Day Porter, ensuring seamless operations and effective communication.
  • Assist with janitorial staff during downtimes, providing support and ensuring continuity of services.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a facilities engineer or in a similar role.
  • Ability to pass full background screening and maintain background clearance.
  • Understanding and maintenance of secured areas, with appropriate escort and supervision based on security clearance level.
  • Standard shift will be 8 hours, with ability to work nights and weekends for special maintenance and emergencies.
  • Experience with MS Office and review of building plans, with AutoCAD a plus.
  • Ability to lift at least 25 lbs.
  • Knowledge of the building process and construction principles.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and building codes.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Project management skills.
