About the Role

As a Youth Care Specialist, you will be responsible for supervising clients during meals, dressing, and personal hygiene, monitoring cleaning of rooms, chores, and life tactical skills, and providing structure, discipline, and security in meeting client needs. You will also serve as an adult role model and source of feedback, demonstrate effective communication skills with clients and coworkers, and intervene in crisis situations using the approved Mandt system.

Key Responsibilities

* Supervise clients during meals, dressing, and personal hygiene
* Monitor cleaning of rooms, chores, and life tactical skills
* Provide structure, discipline, and security in meeting client needs
* Serve as an adult role model and source of feedback
* Demonstrate effective communication skills with clients and coworkers
* Intervene in crisis situations using Mandt system

Requirements

* High School Diploma or equivalent
* MANDT training offered as part of onboarding
* CPR training offered as part of onboarding
* Prefer one year's experience working with children
* Must be 21 years of age
* Must pass physical examination, drug screen, and TB skin test
* Must pass MVR, DCF fingerprint background, and KDADS background
* Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation
* Lifting requirements of 50 lbs

Compensation Package

This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary range of $35,000 - $45,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. Benefits include health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
