Dietitian Position

Brandon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, LLC is seeking a skilled Registered Dietitian to lead our team of dedicated dietary staff. As a Registered Dietitian, you will be responsible for planning and implementing nutritional care plans for our residents, ensuring they receive the best possible care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct initial, change of condition, annual, and quarterly nutritional assessments, as well as MDS and Care Plan reviews, to ensure accurate and effective care planning.
• Interview patients and/or family members to gather diet history and develop personalized care plans.
• Collaborate with the attending physician to plan and implement prescribed diet plans, ensuring residents receive the necessary nutrition for optimal health.
• Assist the Food Service Director in implementing and interpreting department policies and procedures, ensuring seamless operations.
• Review and edit menus to ensure they meet the dietary needs of our residents, adhering to the Diet Manual.
• Write and approve therapeutic diets not defined on the cycle menu, instructing staff on proper service and presentation.
• Visit residents regularly to evaluate meal satisfaction, likes, and dislikes, making adjustments as needed.
• Monitor and manage the ordering of supplements, nourishments, snacks, and meals, working closely with dietary, nursing, and therapy departments.
• Document high-risk patients monthly, tracking significant weight losses, tube feeders, dialysis, and wounds.

Requirements:

• Completion of a BS, BSHE, or BSCS degree, along with an internship, and AP4 or equivalent registration.
• Successful passing of the Registration Examination for Dieticians and current registration ID through the ADA Commission on Dietician Registration.
• Possession of a valid license or certification as mandated by the state where employed.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English through verbal and written means.
