Job Summary

The Histologist III plays a critical role in providing high-quality products to aid in diagnosis in a fast-paced, high-volume laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine tasks and advanced tests, such as Immunohistochemistry, DIF, Enzyme Histochemistry, Special Stains, and Nerve Teasing with the highest quality.
  • Process, embed, and microtome routine specimens efficiently.
  • Perform grossing of specific specimen types if qualified by CLIA regulation.
  • Operate and maintain processing and staining equipment.
  • Ensure accurate results by following established quality control practices.
  • Identify and notify technical staff of QC problems.
  • Train in routine areas, including processing, embedding, microtomy, and staining.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • ASCP certification required.
  • 3 years of lab experience and knowledge.
