The Histologist III plays a critical role in providing high-quality products to aid in diagnosis in a fast-paced, high-volume laboratory environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine tasks and advanced tests, such as Immunohistochemistry, DIF, Enzyme Histochemistry, Special Stains, and Nerve Teasing with the highest quality.
- Process, embed, and microtome routine specimens efficiently.
- Perform grossing of specific specimen types if qualified by CLIA regulation.
- Operate and maintain processing and staining equipment.
- Ensure accurate results by following established quality control practices.
- Identify and notify technical staff of QC problems.
- Train in routine areas, including processing, embedding, microtomy, and staining.
- Bachelor's degree.
- ASCP certification required.
- 3 years of lab experience and knowledge.
- Full-time position.
- Evening shift: 3:00pm - 11:30pm.
