Upon completion, participants will receive a certificate of achievement from the Midwestern University College of Health Sciences, recognizing their advanced education and preparation for a faculty role within a PA Program.

Program Overview:

The Fellowship integrates various learning methodologies, including didactic instruction, self-directed study, practical application, and evaluation. Participants will engage in coursework that covers educational theories, instructional methodologies, student engagement, leadership, and clinical education delivery. Responsibilities will encompass developing and presenting lectures, facilitating small group discussions, designing course materials, creating assessment metrics, participating in committee work, and contributing to clinical site development. Additionally, participants will undertake a scholarly project, culminating in the creation of an academic portfolio and submission of a scholarly work for potential publication or presentation.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this Fellowship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
(1) Graduation from an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant Program
(2) NCCPA certification and eligibility for licensure
(3) A master’s degree in PA Studies or a related discipline
(4) A minimum of one year of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant
