We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Science Intern to join our team at Cox. As a Data Science Intern, you will play a critical role in helping us drive business decisions through data-driven insights.

• Develop and maintain data-driven insights to inform business decisions
• Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data for analysis
• Perform data cleansing and exploratory data analysis
• Work with various data sources to produce requested analysis
• Identify opportunities to increase efficiency and improve processes
• Influence critical business decisions through analysis and visualization techniques

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

• Currently be enrolled in a related degree program such as Math, Statistics, Computer Science, or Engineering
• Basic analytic skills
• Strong background in Mathematics, Computer Science, or Statistics
• Background using Microsoft tools
• Detail-oriented and able to meet project timelines through good time management and work prioritization
• Oral and written communications skills, as well as presentation skills
• A positive attitude, determination, and humility
• Intermediate to advanced analytical skills
• Background or relevant coursework in areas such as Mathematic, Statistics, Data Scientist, Computer and Information systems, and Programming
• Ability to conduct thorough research and use findings to inform decision making
• Python, PySpark, SQL, or other coding and visualization skills are highly preferred

We offer a competitive hourly base pay rate of $34.81/hour, with the possibility of additional compensation through commission and/or an incentive program. Our benefits package includes health care insurance, retirement planning, and paid days off.
