Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our team at Advantage Engineering & IT Solutions Inc. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for contributing to the development of systems engineering documentation, managing system requirements, and coordinating the resolution of action items.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver systems engineering documentation, including System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, and Interface Control Documents.
  • Manage system requirements and derived requirements to ensure the delivery of production systems that meet the defined system architecture.
  • Coordinate the resolution of action items from Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings, design reviews, program reviews, and test reviews.
  • Perform analysis of technical alternatives for projects and make preliminary recommendations.
  • Assist in performing systems engineering activities in the ISO/IEC 15288 Agreement or Enterprise Process Areas.
  • Develop and deliver work products in multiple Process Areas defined in the ISO/IEC 15288.
  • Supervise or coordinate the work of other contractor engineers or technicians on projects.
  • Lead contractor systems engineering activities for projects, including supervising the work of project engineering staff and technicians.
  • Approve delivery of work products of multiple Process Areas defined in the ISO/IEC 15288.
  • Independently make decisions regarding engineering issues and methodology for projects.
  • Brief stakeholders and present the status on all technical aspects of projects.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in one or more Process Areas defined in the ISO/IEC 15288.
Requirements
  • A High School Diploma or GED plus twenty-four (24) years of general systems engineering experience.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus twenty (20) years of systems engineering experience.
  • A Master's degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college plus eighteen (18) years of systems engineering experience.
  • A PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus eighteen (18) years of systems engineering experience.
