Hematology Oncology Specialist

Charleston Oncology, PA is actively looking for a skilled Hematologist Oncologist to address the increasing patient needs within our advanced cancer treatment facilities. Our distinguished team comprises eleven Hematologists Oncologists with over 100 years of collective expertise. We operate across six locations in the lowcountry region and are set for significant growth in the upcoming years. Despite our expanding size, we maintain a balance between professional responsibilities and personal life through shared call schedules and manageable patient loads. Key Responsibilities:

1. Deliver comprehensive services and treatments including Medical Oncology, Hematology, Diagnostic Testing, Clinical Research, and Pharmacy.
2. Engage with patients to clarify diagnoses and cancer stages, discuss treatment alternatives, and assist in managing treatment-related side effects and symptoms.
3. Enhance convenience for patients and their families.
4. Provide empathetic and thorough cancer care in a supportive environment.
5. Assist patients with effective pain management strategies.
6. Maintain accurate records of test outcomes, prescribe medications, offer educational resources on cancer, and oversee treatment plans.

Qualifications:

1. Medical degree in Oncology, with successful completion of residency and fellowship training in the field.

Experience:

1. A minimum of five years of experience in an Oncology setting.

Skills:

1. Demonstrated compassion and care for patients; current knowledge of cancer types and treatment modalities; proficient technical skills for operating cancer treatment equipment; strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
