Job SummaryWeber Specialties Company is seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our production team. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for performing repetitive assembly operations to mass-produce products.
Key Responsibilities- Assembly Operations: Perform repetitive assembly operations to mass-produce products, including bolting, clipping, screwing, cementing, or otherwise fastening parts together.
- Quality Inspection: Conduct quality inspections of completed parts to ensure they meet company standards.
- Inventory Management: Conduct month-end inventory of completed and in-process parts.
- Team Support: Provide backup support to other assembly or production personnel as needed.
- Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced production environment, with occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
- Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Language Skills: Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Write routine reports and correspondence. Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
