Job Summary

As a Flatbed CDL Driver with ThyssenKrupp Supply Chain SVC, you will be responsible for delivering products to our customers in a timely and professional manner. You will represent our company in a positive way, providing excellent customer service and ensuring that our trucks are in proper working order.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure safe transportation of goods by properly securing loads on trucks.
  • Plan and execute driving routes using maps or GPS tracking.
  • Meet delivery deadlines and provide excellent customer service.
  • Monitor road conditions and follow all applicable traffic laws.
  • Keep detailed logs of travel time, mileage, and sleep hours to comply with Department of Transportation regulations.
  • Perform routine maintenance on trucks, including fueling, cleaning, and inspecting trailers.
  • Report incidents and accidents to dispatchers and follow company procedures.
  • Inspect trailers before and after trips and record any defects.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience driving a flatbed.
  • A clean driving record.
  • Ability to work independently and possess a high degree of integrity and trust.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including early morning starts.
  • Valid Class A CDL and medical card.
  • Ability to pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and meet medical requirements.
