Key ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate LPN to enhance our team and uphold the exceptional level of care we provide to our patients.
As an LPN in our Family Medicine Clinic, you will be instrumental in facilitating efficient clinic operations and delivering superior patient care. You will collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals, executing a range of clinical and administrative duties to support patient health.
Primary Duties:- Patient Interaction: Welcome patients, record vital signs, collect medical histories, and prepare individuals for examinations and procedures.
- Clinical Responsibilities: Assist with standard procedures, administer medications, conduct basic laboratory tests, and oversee specimen collection. Ensure examination rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for patient use.
- Patient Guidance: Educate patients on care instructions, including medication management, lifestyle suggestions, and follow-up procedures. Address patient inquiries and concerns with understanding.
- Administrative Duties: Maintain patient records through the electronic health record (EHR) system, coordinate appointments, manage phone communications, and assist with billing and insurance tasks as necessary.
- Care Coordination: Collaborate closely with the healthcare team to guarantee seamless patient care, including managing referrals, follow-up appointments, and communication with other healthcare providers.
- Supply Management: Monitor medical supplies and ensure all necessary equipment is maintained and operational.
- Licensure: Valid LPN license to practice in the State of Iowa.
- Experience: Prior experience in a family practice or primary care environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Skills: Strong organizational abilities, excellent communication skills, and a patient-centered approach to care.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and standard medical office protocols.
- CPR Certification: Current CPR certification is required.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work effectively within a team and foster positive relationships with patients and colleagues.
