Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Inception to Completion: Manage capital outlay projects from project inception through completion, including budget planning, design, construction, and warranty phases.
  • Functional Oversight: Provide functional oversight or collaborate with Facility Planning and Control Project Managers to ensure project goals are met.
  • Contract Management: Oversee contracted design firms, contractors, and professional consultants to maintain project quality, timelines, and budget.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with various stakeholders, including government agencies and non-state entities, ensuring compliance with regulatory and project standards.
  • Project Documentation: Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and reports, ensuring that all project documentation is completed accurately and on time.
  • Construction Management: Monitor construction activities and manage any issues or changes that arise, ensuring projects remain on track and meet design specifications.
  • Project Handover: Conduct project reviews and ensure smooth handover to operations teams post-construction, ensuring warranty work is completed as necessary.
  • Relationship Building: Foster strong working relationships with external and internal partners, including architects, engineers, contractors, and clients.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of three years of experience managing architecture/engineering projects.
  • Project Management: Proven track record in managing large-scale capital projects, with experience in project planning, design, and construction management.
  • Design Firm Experience: Experience working with design firms is a plus.
  • Construction Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction processes, regulatory requirements, and project lifecycle management.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • State or Government Experience: Experience with state or government-led capital projects.
  • Construction Contracts: Knowledge of construction contracts and contract negotiations.
  • Project Management Software: Proficiency with project management software and tools.
