Job Summary

This is an entry-level position in the Engineering Technologist staff, focusing on applying technical skills to evaluate options and design safe, cost-effective, and reliable facilities for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Learn and apply safety policies and procedures.
  • Develop skills to safely visit job sites and interact with construction personnel.
  • Prepare project and job packages, including material lists, requisitions, labor estimates, and site drawings.
  • Evaluate loading on distribution equipment and develop skills to accurately assess utility construction practices.
  • Regularly communicate job status to meet client expectations and deliverable dates.
Requirements
  • High school degree or GED.
  • 0-1 year of experience in power distribution engineering or craft or GIS/CAD work.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, write simple correspondence, and respond to common inquiries.
  • Mathematical skills to perform calculations and apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
