About the PositionWe are seeking a talented Landscape Designer to contribute to our mission of advancing environmental stewardship and community resilience. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in shaping our vision for sustainable water solutions.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement sustainable landscape designs that integrate water conservation and ecological principles.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to advance our mission and achieve project goals.
- Utilize CAD software, grading plans, planting plans, renderings, and graphic design to communicate design concepts effectively.
- Contribute to public engagement and outreach efforts to promote our work and values.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Visual Communication Design, or a related field.
- High proficiency in AutoCAD software and experience with Land-FX.
- Experience with stormwater BMP/landscape grading and knowledge of California native plants and plant ecology.
- Excellent professional oral and written communication skills, with ability to interpret creative direction and adapt points from creative briefs.
- Advanced skills in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Experience with nature-based design, Low Impact Design (LID), and holistic design approaches.
- Excellent social media skills and experience developing social media outreach strategies.
- Website design/development/administration experience and strong skills in graphic design, website design, and social media management.
- Experience with Sketchup, Rhino, or other 3D rendering software and ArcView GIS software skills.
- Project management experience and leadership abilities, with ability to project manage, lead, and work on multiple projects concurrently.
