Connecticut Institute for Communities, Inc. is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Child Development Associate (CDA) Specialist in our Danbury Early Learning Programs.

Job Summary

The CDA Specialist will play a key role in assisting classrooms in planning and implementing routines, curriculum, meals, and activities for preschool and/or infant toddler children. This position will work closely with Lead Teachers and Education Services Professionals to ensure that our programs meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist classrooms in planning and implementing daily routines, curriculum, meals, and activities for preschool and/or infant toddler children.
  • Work closely with Lead Teachers and Education Services Professionals to ensure compliance with program standards and regulations.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date on best practices in early childhood education.
  • Support the preparation of lesson plans, educational materials, and other resources as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 18+ years old required.
  • Previous babysitting or childcare experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills required, including email, word processing, and internet navigation.
  • Bilingual candidates strongly encouraged to apply.
