Job Summary:

Quality Talent Group is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing technical services under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and Physician. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the operating room as assigned and directed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the operating room as assigned and directed.
  • Work in Central Sterile Processing and perform job duties of a Central Sterile Processing Technician.
  • Adhere to hospital and departmental attendance and punctuality guidelines.
  • Perform all job responsibilities in alignment with the core values, mission, and vision of the organization.
  • Maintain current knowledge in present areas of responsibility.
  • Attend staff meetings and complete mandatory in-services and requirements and competency evaluations on time.
  • Demonstrate competency at all levels in providing care to all patients based on age, sex, weight, and demonstrated needs.
  • Wear protective clothing and equipment as appropriate.

Requirements:

  • Vocational/Technical Degree in an Accredited Surgical Technology Program.
  • 0-1 year of Surgical technologist experience (Preferred).
  • Required Certifications/Licensures: Certified Surgical Technologists (CST), Basic Life Support (BLS).

Physical Requirements:

  • Have near normal vision - Clarity of vision (both near and far), ability to distinguish colors.
  • Have good manual dexterity and eye-hand-foot coordination.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks/motion.

Working Conditions:

  • General environment: Works in a well-lighted, air-conditioned area, with moderate noise levels.
  • May be exposed to high noise levels and bright lights.
  • May be exposed to limited hazardous substances or body fluids, or infectious organisms.
  • May be required to change from one task to another of different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.
  • Periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads may occur.
  • May be scheduled as needed including overtime.
