Job Summary

Amergis is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality occupational therapy services to students, including evaluations, therapy sessions, and documentation of services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy plans to meet the unique needs of each student
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Provide occupational therapy services in a variety of settings, including classrooms, therapy rooms, and community-based locations
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records
  • Participate in IEP conferences and other meetings to ensure coordination of health services
Requirements
  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of practice
  • One year of prior professional occupational therapy experience preferred
  • Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable
  • Current CPR certification if applicable
  • TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray if applicable
  • Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
  • Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
  • Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site
  • Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements
  • Ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, and other healthcare professionals
