Pet Therapy Volunteer Opportunity

Capital Hospice & Palliative Care is seeking compassionate individuals to join our Pet Therapy Program as PetPals. As a PetPal, you and your certified therapy animal will provide comfort, socialization, and emotional support to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Visit patients in a hospice setting with your certified therapy animal
  • Provide socialization, comfort, and emotional support to patients
  • Interact with patients and their families in a positive and respectful manner

Requirements:

  • Certified therapy animal with up-to-date vaccinations and paperwork
  • No prior hospice experience necessary, but a passion for animal-assisted therapy is essential
