About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Care Worker to join our team at United Methodist Children's Home. As a Youth Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to young people in our care, helping them to develop the skills and confidence they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide supervision and guidance to residents, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as meal preparation and household chores, and provide instruction on basic living skills.
  • Encourage and support residents in their personal development, including education and career goals.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure the smooth operation of the residential facility.
  • Document resident progress and provide regular updates to supervisors.
Requirements
  • Empathy and patience, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and residents.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including overnight shifts and weekends.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
