Primary Responsibilities:

The Patient Care Assistant is accountable for executing a variety of patient support tasks and associated non-professional services aimed at addressing the personal needs and comfort of patients. This role includes transcribing physician directives, performing clerical duties, and coordinating non-nursing services within the unit. The individual will operate under the direct oversight of a Registered Nurse, adhering to all institutional policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing essential patient care activities.
  • Assisting with the comfort and personal needs of patients.
  • Maintaining compliance with hospital policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements:
A background in vocational or technical training along with over six months of relevant experience or an equivalent combination is required. Certification as a Nursing Assistant, proficiency in basic computer skills, and familiarity with medical terminology are essential.
