Job Title: Linux Administrator/TS/SCI with CI poly

Collins Aerospace is seeking a highly skilled Linux Administrator to join our team. As a Linux Administrator, you will be responsible for managing, deploying, and maintaining classified IT infrastructures on a global scale.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented Linux Administrator to work in a highly collaborative, multi-platform and multi-disciplined environment. The successful candidate will have experience with Linux, hardware, troubleshooting, and scripting, as well as a strong understanding of automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Chef.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage, deploy, and maintain classified IT infrastructures on a global scale
  • Collaborate with a diverse team to support exciting, critical programs with classified information system capabilities
  • Administer Red Hat Linux based systems with minimal support, to include patching, creating RPM packages, performance tuning, networking, user management (LDAP), and security
  • Use and develop with automation tools/frameworks such as Terraform, Ansible, and Chef
  • Install, administer, and troubleshoot recent versions of VMware (ESXi and vCenter)
  • Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures
Requirements:
  • University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
  • Active DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification (or higher) on start date
  • Experience with Linux, hardware, troubleshooting, and scripting
  • Travel required to other US Domestic locations as business needs dictate up to 10%
