We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to join our team at UMass Memorial Health. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for operating CT scanners to produce high-quality images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes.
Key Responsibilities- Operate CT scanners to produce cross-sectional radiographs of patients' bodies
- Monitor and maintain patient care and safety, including practicing ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable)
- Follow quality control policies and procedures to ensure compliance with departmental, local, state, and federal regulations
- Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to ensure patient and staff safety
- Communicate effectively with patients, medical staff, and other personnel to ensure smooth operations
- Perform scheduled maintenance and minor repairs on radiographic equipment
- Graduate of an accredited radiological technology program
- Current registration by the ARRT and registered or eligible for ARRT registration in CT
- Licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Public Health: Radiation Control Program
- CPR certification and ability to maintain current certification
- Prior experience as a Radiologic Technologist
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Knowledge of anatomy, patient positioning, examination techniques, equipment protocols, radiation safety, and basic patient care
