Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to join our team at UMass Memorial Health. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for operating CT scanners to produce high-quality images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate CT scanners to produce cross-sectional radiographs of patients' bodies
  • Monitor and maintain patient care and safety, including practicing ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable)
  • Follow quality control policies and procedures to ensure compliance with departmental, local, state, and federal regulations
  • Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to ensure patient and staff safety
  • Communicate effectively with patients, medical staff, and other personnel to ensure smooth operations
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and minor repairs on radiographic equipment
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited radiological technology program
  • Current registration by the ARRT and registered or eligible for ARRT registration in CT
  • Licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Public Health: Radiation Control Program
  • CPR certification and ability to maintain current certification
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience as a Radiologic Technologist
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Knowledge of anatomy, patient positioning, examination techniques, equipment protocols, radiation safety, and basic patient care
