Key ResponsibilitiesThe selected candidates will be responsible for:
- Demonstrating and explaining election processes, procedures, and voting equipment using a structured curriculum.
- Collaborating with a team of instructors to deliver training sessions (both in-person and online) to groups ranging from 50 to 200 election judges and clerks.
- Managing classroom environments effectively, whether in-person or via virtual platforms.
- Setting up and dismantling training spaces, ensuring all materials are organized for transport.
- Providing support and answering inquiries from judges during voting periods.
- Achieving mastery of election-related content, including manuals and training materials.
- Performing general election duties as required.
- Participating in mandatory election days, including the start and end of early voting, as well as on Election Day.
- Leading training sessions as the primary instructor.
- Visiting voting centers to reinforce training protocols with election workers.
- Troubleshooting and executing advanced functions related to equipment and procedures.
Candidates should possess the following:
- Strong presentation skills with an emphasis on engagement and pacing.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Experience with virtual meeting platforms, particularly Zoom.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles.
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong customer service skills, including phone support.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Physical RequirementsCandidates must be able to:
- Engage in prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Lift up to 35 pounds for extended durations during training sessions.
