Senior Scientist

At Net2Source Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Bench Scientist to join our team in Chesterfield, MO. This is a 12-month contract position that offers a unique opportunity to work on the development of novel products and contribute to the advancement of vaccines.

Role Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, troubleshooting, and utilizing analytical methodologies to support process development of biotherapeutics, vaccines, and oligonucleotides. This will involve performing nucleic acid-based analytical techniques, such as gel electrophoresis, liquid chromatography, nucleic acid quantitation, and next-generation sequencing (NGS). The colleague must work within corporate guidelines and must appropriately record, archive, and report all data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and troubleshoot analytical methodologies to support process development of biotherapeutics, vaccines, and oligonucleotides.
• Perform nucleic acid-based analytical techniques, including gel electrophoresis, liquid chromatography, nucleic acid quantitation, and next-generation sequencing (NGS).
• Work within corporate guidelines to ensure accurate and reliable data.
• Interact effectively with peers and leaders as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Document analytical results in technical reports and regulated systems.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in biochemistry, biology, chemistry, or related field with more than 2 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree in biochemistry, biology, chemistry, or related field with more than 6 years of relevant experience.
• Proven record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment and effective communication to project teams.
• Demonstrated technical writing skills and good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow established procedures under minimal supervision.
• Experience with DNA handling, extractions, and purifications.
• Proficient with standard molecular biology techniques, such as gel electrophoresis, restriction digests, and related enzymatic techniques.
• Experience with DNA quantitation and sizing (Qubit, qPCR, TapeStation).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with nucleic acid sequencing techniques (Sanger, Illumina, Oxford Nanopore, PacBio).
• Familiarity with bioinformatics tools used for the analysis of sequencing data.
• Experience with laboratory data systems such as Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
