Description:

Lockheed Martin's SOF GLSS Team is seeking an experienced UAS (Unmanned Aircraft Systems) Technician to join their team in Lexington, KY. The successful candidate will perform classified UAS Technician duties supporting multiple Special Operations groups and must have a working knowledge of UAS components.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform non-standardized engineering assignments independently
  • Construct components, subunits, or simple models, adapt standard equipment, and troubleshoot and correct malfunctions
  • Follow scientific diagrams to construct and package simple devices and subunits of equipment
  • Conduct various tests and experiments, modifying setups and procedures as needed
  • Record test data, using judgment in measurement and data selection
  • Extract and compile engineering data, identifying and correcting errors
  • Assist in design modification, compiling and analyzing data, recognizing inconsistencies and seeking sources to clarify information

Requirements:
  • Military aviation maintenance experience
  • Aviation cyclic maintenance experience
  • Avionics/Electrical background
  • Must be willing to travel CONUS/OCONUS
  • Must be motivated
  • Must be a self-starter
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Be able to work in an environment with minimal supervision and direction
  • Strong ability to perform web-based and Technical Manual-driven research
Desired Skills:
  • UAS maintainer/operator experience
  • Experience using Military maintenance manuals
  • IUID experience
  • Ground Control Station experience
  • Military Logbook experience
  • UGV experience
  • SUMS experience

This position requires a government security clearance, and the selected candidate must be able to obtain a Secret clearance. A company-sponsored Interim Secret is required to start.
