Job Title: Lounge Server (FT)

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lounge Server to join our team at Rosewood Sand Hill. As a Lounge Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring their dining experience is memorable and enjoyable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Take food and beverage orders, utilizing suggestive selling techniques to enhance the guest experience.
  • Retrieve and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and food orders to guest tables according to hotel specifications.
  • Collect payments and maintain accurate records of transactions.
  • Assist in the maintenance of the restaurant area and equipment, ensuring a clean and safe environment for guests and staff.
  • Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.
  • Maintain positive guest relations at all times, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Be familiar with all hotel services, features, and local attractions to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
  • Handle guest complaints following the six-step procedure, ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areas.
  • Guide the activities of the assigned Busperson to ensure optimum service to guests.
  • Clear each course following procedures laid down in departmental manual.
  • Remove soiled wares from tables as assigned and transport to dishwashing area.
  • Present guest checks and process payments through the Cashier.
  • Adhere to payment, cash handling, and credit policies/procedures.
  • Clean and reset tables immediately after guest departs.
  • Collect and report tips at the end of the assigned shift.
Requirements:
  • Minimum three years' experience as a fine dining server.
  • High school diploma.
  • Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and follow-up.
  • Ability to be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment.
  • Ability to follow directions thoroughly.
  • Ability to understand a guest's service needs.
  • Ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • California Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certificate.
  • California Food Handler Card.
  • Fluency in other languages.
Physical Requirements:

Must be able to exert physical effort in transporting 40 pounds, endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, reach up and down, remain stationary at times throughout work periods, and satisfactorily communicate with guests and co-workers to their understanding.

Compensation:

The pay scale for this position is $16.70/hour plus commissions, bonuses, upsell incentives, tips, etc.
