Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Planner to join our team at Steelite International America. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective management of our warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Warehouse Operations Management: Direct and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff to ensure that targets are met for on-time delivery, productivity, throughput time, safety, and quality.
  • Decision Making: Make informed decisions regarding meeting delivery and throughput deadlines, workplace cleanliness and orderliness, and workplace safety.
  • Staff Communication: Communicate staff issues, such as individual/shift performance, to Leads/Supervisors.
  • Daily Scheduling: Work from the daily schedule to ensure that daily activity is properly prioritized.
  • Personnel Issues: Report any personnel-related issues to the Warehouse Supervisor, including interpersonal conflicts, insubordination, policy violations, etc.
  • Shift Handover: Maintain a good hand-off with clear lines of communication to the next shift.
  • Communication: Communicate ideas and information to Supervisors and Managers.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by Warehouse Supervisor/Manager.
  • Inventory Management: Create transfers, restocks, and/or manual picks for product movement within the warehouse.
  • Logistics Coordination: Work with Logistics to verify inventory levels and research and correct inventory shortages.
  • Training and Support: Assist and train Warehouse operators in the resolution of RF scanner issues.
  • Customer Support: Provide quick response, clear communication, follow-up, and updates for all production department queries and issues.
Requirements
  • Experience: Experience in excel database management/update.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Software Knowledge: Working knowledge of GP, TMS & WMS.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, carry light objects, handle, or feel parts, reach with hands and arms.
  • Multi-Tasking: Ability to multi-task and work with minimum supervision.
  • Overtime: Ability to work overtime as business needs dictate.
  • Driving License: Driving license required.
