Job Summary

The Respiratory Therapist is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients in our Level 1 Trauma Center. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will work closely with our physicians and nurses to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients with respiratory conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Perform all respiratory-related therapeutic and diagnostic maneuvers in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Implement and assess the function of oxygen and therapeutic gases.
  • Provide aerosolized medication and CPT and IPV treatments.
  • Set up and monitor ventilators in accordance with department and hospital policies.
  • Communicate effectively with peers and staff to develop and improve inter- and intradepartmental services.
  • Perform CPR and diagnostic procedures, including ABG analysis, pulse oximetry, and nitric oxide pulmonary hypertension studies.
  • Assess patient status and ensure patient needs are reassessed in response to treatment and care provided.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Respiratory Therapy.
  • Registered with the N.B.R.C and licensed in the state of Missouri.
  • 1 year of experience preferred, but new graduates welcome.
