Key Responsibilities
  • Imaging Procedures: Perform computed tomography procedures using General Electric Revolution, Lightspeed, Brightspeed, and HD750 Computerized Tomography Systems, adhering to established operating procedures, clinical protocols, and imaging techniques.
  • Image Post-Processing: Utilize reconstruction software to enhance images and improve diagnostic accuracy.
  • Customer Service: Address customer complaints in a professional and courteous manner, resolving issues promptly and referring complex concerns to higher authorities.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Coordinate the scheduling of inpatients and outpatients to ensure efficient utilization of CT equipment and personnel.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform Quality Assurance Tests on CT equipment to ensure optimal image quality and equipment performance, maintaining equipment safety and cleanliness.
  • Patient Care: Obtain patient history and relevant clinical information, documenting all patient information on appropriate forms for review and dictation by a radiologist.
  • Contrast Administration: Administer contrast material and monitor patient condition during CT procedures, maintaining inventory levels of medical supplies and initiating emergency medical support as needed.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: 12-24 months of experience in radiology, graduate of a Radiologic Technology program, and completion of 2 hours of stroke education per year.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and CT procedures, ability to perform all routine CT procedures, good oral and written communication skills, and computer competence.
  • Certifications and Licenses: ARRT Registry (RT), IDNS License, CPR, and IV Certification within 3 months of hire, CT Registration within 6 months of hire.
Working Conditions
  • Physical Demands: Ability to respond to requests to work on short notice, flexible in starting times to meet demand, and ability to transport, move, and lift patients.
  • Environmental Factors: Exposure to infectious diseases, willingness to work overtime when requested, and musculoskeletal hazards from lifting and repetitive motions.
