Job Summary:
Forest View Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care to our residents. As a key member of our nursing team, you will be responsible for assessing resident needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor resident care, including diet and physical activity, to ensure optimal health and well-being.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests to identify and assess resident conditions.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques and facility policies.
- Observe and record significant conditions and reactions, and notify supervisors or physicians as needed.
- Consult and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate resident care plans.
- Provide resident and family education on procedures and treatments to promote understanding and cooperation.
- Report any issues or problems to the Director of Nursing and/or Administrator.
- Comply with state, federal, and other applicable healthcare and safety standards.
- Attend and conduct required in-services and other meetings.
Requirements:
- Long-term care experience preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in nursing in a long-term care environment.
- Must be a Registered Nurse in good standing and currently licensed in Illinois.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and strong organizational skills.
- Demonstrates good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.
