Job Overview

Keswick Hall and Club is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Bell Attendant to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience from arrival to departure.

Responsibilities:

  • Check the daily arrival list for VIPs or guests with special needs.
  • Be present at the front desk or in the lobby to assist guests, colleagues, and visitors.
  • Greet all guests upon arrival and departure.
  • Offer valet parking and ensure the efficient delivery and collection of guest luggage and equipment.
  • Tag baggage and return identification slips to guests.
  • Escort guests to their rooms, placing luggage in the assigned room.
  • Promote hotel facilities, including restaurants, pools, and recreational activities.
  • Explain in-room amenities, key operations, and safety features.
  • Inspect guest rooms for order and adequate supplies.
  • Deliver faxes, messages, packages, and flowers to guests' rooms and other offices.
  • Respond to guest requests and queries, providing a knowledgeable and efficient service.
  • Ensure the efficient delivery and collection of group luggage.
  • Ensure safe storage and collect ticketing of guest coats and personal items.
  • Help maintain a positive first impression of the hotel.
  • Transport departing guests' luggage from the room to the lobby and then into a car or taxi.
  • Collect and distribute post and packages.
  • Deal with general inquiries.
  • Ensure the lobby and front door areas are always clean and tidy.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of high school diploma (or equivalent) and 0-2 years of experience in a luxury hotel or service environment.
  • Previous experience in hospitality is preferred, with a commitment to delivering a high level of customer service.
  • Knowledge of the community and area in which the hotel is located to assist guests with information on special events.
  • Be a good team player and flexible to work a variety of early and late shifts.
  • Passion for customer service and excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Property Management software and basic computer knowledge.
