Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Monument Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing direct and indirect patient care in our ambulatory clinic setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare examination and treatment areas according to clinic standards
  • Complete patient rooming procedures, including vital signs and data collection
  • Administer and document unit dose medications and immunizations
  • Perform EKGs and laboratory testing as needed
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation in patient records
  • Assist with scheduling follow-up care and appointments
  • Distribute patient education materials and direct patient questions to providers or RNs
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent in General Studies
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or training
  • Medical Assistant-Certified (MA) certification from a recognized certifying body
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ years of clinical experience
  • 1+ years of healthcare experience
Physical Requirements

Medium work, exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, or tissues.
