The Institute for Human Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Children's Program Assistant to join our team.

In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating child and parent education programs and activities to support the outcomes of our Children and Family programs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of child development principles and practices, and will be able to design and implement engaging and culturally relevant programs.

This position requires a high level of energy, enthusiasm, and creativity, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement program activities, including lesson plans and curriculum materials.
  2. Provide direct support to children and families, including counseling and advocacy services.
  3. Collaborate with community partners to identify and develop new resources and opportunities.
  4. Maintain accurate records and provide reports as required.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • At least two years of experience working with children in a multi-cultural and low socio-economic setting.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.

Salary Range:$19.00 - $24.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
