Ultrasound Sonography Apprentice I

About the Role:

We are seeking an Ultrasound Sonography Apprentice I to join our team at CHRISTUS Health. As a member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for performing ultrasounds under the direction of a Registered Ultrasound Technologist.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in organizing and coordinating ultrasound procedures with Radiologists or referring physicians.
• Operate ultrasound equipment to provide accurate images for diagnosing disease states.
• Transport patients to and from the imaging suite while maintaining patient dignity and comfort.
• Clean and maintain equipment and supplies after each use.
• Document patient information accurately in electronic health records.
• Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and physicians to ensure smooth workflow.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following infection control protocols.
• Adhere to CMS, TJC, ACR, and TDSHS regulations.
• Participate in educational assignments to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in an accredited school of medical sonography.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• American Heart Associate BLS required.

Work Schedule and Benefits:
