Fire Alarm Technician

We are seeking a highly motivated and self-driven Fire Alarm Technician to join our team at Western States Fire Protection. As a Fire Alarm Technician, you will assist the lead Alarm & Detection Technician in providing reliable, high-quality customer support through on-site inspecting, installing, repairing, and/or replacing fire alarm equipment. You will also learn to conduct preventive maintenance services on various manufacturers' equipment.

The ideal candidate will be outgoing, highly self-motivated, and able to problem-solve. They will have strong communication skills and a professional image, as well as the ability to learn all aspects of a project from install to programming, strong troubleshooting skills, and service work.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting and training in fire alarm installations
  • Fire alarm system troubleshooting techniques
  • Analysis of blueprints

Requirements:

  • Desire to pursue a career in fire protection
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of NICET level 1 exam within the first year of employment required
  • Experience with technology such as iPad, smartphone, etc.
  • Possess a valid driver's license
  • Clean appearance and reliable transportation
  • Willing to pass post-offer drug screen, background, and reference check

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Regular bending, reaching, climbing, and walking
