Pediatric Acute Care Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at Rady Children's Hospital in San Diego. As a key member of our medical staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and leading the charge in improving the patient experience.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in pediatric acute care and a passion for delivering exceptional patient outcomes. They will be responsible for developing and implementing evidence-based practice guidelines, providing expert clinical advice, and mentoring new staff members.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Comprehensive Patient Care: Develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
  • Research and Best Practices: Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in pediatric acute care and apply this knowledge to improve patient outcomes.
  • Bedside Support: Provide hands-on support to nursing staff at the bedside, offering guidance and expertise to optimize patient care.
  • Mentorship and Education: Mentor and educate new staff members on best practices and policies, ensuring seamless integration into the team.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree: A Master's degree in nursing or a related field is required.
  • 2 years of Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Clinical Nurse Specialist is necessary.
  • Current California RN License: A valid California RN license is mandatory.
  • Clinical Nurse Specialist Certification: Current certification as a Clinical Nurse Specialist is required.
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers: Basic Life Support certification for healthcare providers issued by the American Heart Association is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Doctorate Degree: A Doctorate degree in nursing or a related field is highly desirable.
  • 5 years of Experience: Additional experience as a Clinical Nurse Specialist is highly valued.
  • PALS Certification: Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification is highly desirable.

Salary: The estimated salary range for this position is $61,300 - $91,950 per annum.
