Job Summary

Riverside Health System is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping patients achieve their functional goals and improve their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Follows the plan of care and performs PTA procedures to aid in restoring function, improving mobility, relieving pain, and preventing or limiting permanent physical disabilities.
  • Assesses patients' needs and status by analyzing evaluated data and interprets information, identifying age-specific needs and providing care accordingly.
  • Records patients' progress and reports the results of each treatment to the physical therapist.
  • Treats patients through exercise, massage, gait and balance training, and other therapeutic interventions.
  • Provides patient education on interventions.
Requirements
  • Program Graduate, Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) or Associates Degree, Physical Therapy Assistant.
  • 1 year Healthcare experience preferred.
  • License Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) Upon Hire and CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) within 30 Days.
