Oncology Advanced Care Partner Internship

Position Overview:
As an Oncology Advanced Care Partner, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care in a supportive environment. Your contributions will be instrumental in enhancing the patient experience and promoting wellness.

Compensation:
$27.60 per hour, commensurate with relevant experience.
Essential Qualifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Enrollment in an accredited nursing program with good standing.
- Completion of the first clinical rotation (equivalent to Med/Surg I) with proof of successful completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care under the guidance of a nurse or healthcare provider.
- Emphasize wellness and patient-centered perspectives.
- Mentor and support new team members in the healthcare setting.
- Collaborate effectively with specialized ancillary team members.
- Embrace new knowledge in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Contribute to maintaining safety and quality at the point of care.
Direct Care Duties:
- Gather vital signs, measure blood glucose levels, perform sterile dressing changes, initiate peripheral IVs, and monitor intake and output.
- Assist patients with personal care, daily living activities, and mobility.
- Ensure the care area is well-stocked, clean, and organized.
