Recycling Yard Operator

PeopleReady is actively seeking Recycling Yard Operators. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the sorting of materials on a conveyor system, ensuring that non-recyclable items are efficiently removed. As a Recycling Yard Operator, you will assist in the categorization of recycled materials, including components from vehicles and machinery, while also helping to organize the yard by moving parts and weighing incoming vehicles for scrap.

Compensation:

The hourly wage for this position is $17.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sorting recyclable materials
  • Managing inventory of incoming materials, sorting, and preparing parts for orders
  • Assisting customers with part pickups and loading
  • Organizing the yard by moving scrap materials and vehicles
Shift Availability:

Day Shift - 1st Shift

Qualifications:
  • Experience in a recycling yard is preferred but not mandatory
  • Ability to reach, bend, push, pull, and climb repeatedly
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions
  • Ability to remain stationary for extended periods
  • Background check and drug screening required
