We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Cedar Wellness Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive care to patients struggling with substance use disorders.
Role OverviewThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families affected by addiction. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered treatment that addresses the physical, emotional, and social needs of our clients.
Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive health history and physical assessments of patients with acute health problems.
- Develop, manage, and modify treatment plans to address the complex needs of patients with substance use disorders.
- Dispense medications and maintain accurate records for controlled substances.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to adjust plans of care and ensure seamless transitions between services.
- Facilitate referrals to community health facilities, agencies, and resources as needed.
- Active RN license (if Nurse Practitioner) or active PA board certification AND active PA license (if Physician Assistant).
- Active DEA license or ability to obtain one prior to working with us.
- Active American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support or Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
- Ability to pass drug and background screening.
- Ability to provide health and TB clearance.
- Licensure in good standing and adherence to all applicable legal requirements.
- 2 years of recent/previous work experience in substance use disorder settings.
- Knowledge of etiologies, risk factors, pathophysiology, presentation, and epidemiology of substance use disorders as well as medical conditions.
