Automotive Refinisher

About the Role:

Penske Automotive Group is seeking an experienced Automotive Refinisher to join our team. As a skilled professional, you will be responsible for refinishing damaged vehicle bodies and parts to manufacturer and dealership quality specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify required repairs
• Remove rust, grease, and dirt from work surfaces before painting
• Mask and protect non-painted areas using specialized techniques
• Fill cavities and dents with filler material to achieve a smooth surface
• Mix paint according to manufacturer's specifications to ensure accurate color match
• Apply paint using sprayers or brushes as needed to achieve high-quality results
• Inspect painted units for quality and make any necessary corrections
• Apply protective coatings such as wax to vehicles after testing
• Maintain and wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) while working
• Comply with laws and regulations related to hazardous materials used in the painting process

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Able to work safely in a fast-paced environment wearing PPE
• Ability to perform quality refinishing work according to company standards
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Team player with ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
• Knowledge of automotive systems, tools, and repair processes
• Attention to detail with commitment to quality
• Ability to use technical reference materials and manuals
• Effective time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks

Work Environment and Benefits:

The Automotive Refinisher will primarily work in a well-ventilated automotive shop environment. The workspace may involve exposure to various weather conditions and safety hazards associated with the job.
